How to cancel Netflix
Cancel Netflix from your account page on the web. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
Starts at: netflix.com/youraccount
Step-by-step
Open your Netflix account page
Sign in at netflix.com on a desktop or mobile browser. Tap your profile icon in the top-right and choose Account.
Find the Membership section
Scroll to the Membership & Billing block at the top of the page.
Tap Cancel Membership
Click Cancel Membership. Netflix shows a confirmation page summarising your last billing date.
Confirm the cancellation
Tap Finish Cancellation. Netflix emails a confirmation; you keep full access until the end of your current billing cycle.
What happens after you cancel
- Netflix keeps your profile, watch history, and recommendations for 10 months in case you reactivate.
- No partial refund — your subscription remains active until the date Netflix shows on the confirmation page.
- If you subscribed through the App Store or Play Store, cancel through that store instead, not Netflix's site.
Don't get re-charged by mistake
Log Netflix's end date in SubRemind so it stops counting toward your monthly total — and so you get a warning if it ever quietly re-bills.

Will Netflix refund me if I cancel mid-month?
No — Netflix doesn't pro-rate. You keep access until the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for. Cancel early in the cycle to avoid a near-immediate renewal; cancel late in the cycle to get the most use out of what you've already paid.
Can I cancel Netflix if I subscribed through Apple or Google?
Not from netflix.com. iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Netflix → Cancel. Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → Netflix → Cancel. Netflix can't cancel App Store-billed plans on your behalf.
Does cancelling delete my watch history?
No, not immediately. Netflix retains your account data for 10 months after cancellation so you can pick up where you left off if you reactivate.
