How to cancel ChatGPT Plus
Cancel ChatGPT Plus from your OpenAI account settings. Access continues until the end of your billing period.

Step-by-step
Open ChatGPT Settings
Sign in at chat.openai.com. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left, then Settings.
Go to Subscription
Click Subscription (sometimes labelled Manage subscription).
Tap Cancel Plan
Click Cancel Plan, then confirm. OpenAI shows your last day of Plus access.
What happens after you cancel
- Conversations and custom GPTs remain accessible on the free tier, but with the smaller model and slower response times.
- No partial refund.
- If you subscribed through the iOS App Store, cancel from Settings → Subscriptions on the device — not from chat.openai.com.
